A blessed dice has the numbers 4, 5, or 6 along with the Elder Sign for the "passed". As the opposite sides of a die add up to 7 then if you roll a Chessex dice and can see the "5" face is the bottom face then the top face is a 2 - even if it has nothing printed on it. It all works, but
yuck. Which is why I went for the FFG dice sets despite my reservations on quality. I'm happy with them, they just aren't perfect.
