I've seen a few games with Baratheon's early attack on the Narrow Sea, usually unsuccessful, at least in the long run. It's to important for Stark to concede, and the resulting fighting is usually destructive for both houses. I'd say that in the early game it's better for these two players to come to an agreement. Later on though... ;)If Baratheon manages two coordinate his actions with Greyjoy, they can easily end Stark's chances of victory, if other players are busy in the south. That's what happened in my recent game, but it was Greyjoy who won, not Baratheon.
