Just played a game online as HB vs Anarch (emeraldguardian). I'll post a play-by-play if anyone asks, tomorrow morning, but important bits are as follows:Bad draw for Anarch, fair ICE and econ to start as HB.
Anarch smashes against ETR (end the run) ICE except for Viktor at HQ. No agendas in hand.
Early PSF score.
Anarch gets Cyberfeeders, Yog.0 and Djinn.
Beta test is scored. Two ICE. Pretty good. Remote server is pretty tight now.
Aggressive Secretary installed, advanced believably as PrioReq.
Anarch makes all-or-nothing run, spends everything, takes brain damage, gets in. Loses all software to Secretary.
Should be GG, right? Nope.
Anarch: Replenishes hand to avoid being killed by PSF tags in one turn.
HB: No more agendas in hand. Drawing for agendas. PrioReq drawn on final click.
Anarch makes rig-less run on HQ. Uses clicks to break Viktor, other ice is not ETR. Draws PrioReq; 1 in 5.
HB: Continue drawing for ICE and agendas. Beta test installed.
Anarch makes run on R&D with Maker's Eye. No ETR ICE, but another brain damage. Topdecks another Beta Test.
HB: Protect archives. Score another Beta test; no ICE, PSF in Archives.
Anarch runs Archives; meets ICE Wall. Draws for Corroder. Gets it in one go, as he finished with clicks for credits.
HB: Mandatory draw is PrioReq, hand of 4. Install and 2xPSF to try and discard Corroder out of 3 cards. Missed it.
Anarch: Installs Corroder, uses Cyberfeeder to pay his way into Archives for the PSF and the win.
I had one ICE in hand. Ichi, which he had clicks to break with, anyway. At this point in the game, he would run against unrezzed ICE regardless, so I opted to save credits for advancement.
In hindsight, I would've had better luck with PrioReq in hand, as a 1/4 draw is worse odds than a 1/3 keeping his Corroder.
Or even better, I should've just clicked PSF until he flatlined instead of trying to fish for agendas. 7 tags... At the very least, he wouldn't have clicks to break HB ICE if he were trying to draw health back.
Moral of the story.
Don't get cocky.
