The main races were based I believe on the MMORPG that came out around the same time. A lot o fthe armies of the past mnis games are no longer officially supported by GW and if I had to guess, none of their partners are allowed to produce things in the world that don't follow their official line.This is just speculation of course, mostly based on it having not happened yet and GW's known reputation for strongly maintaing and defending their IP.
