@serduddsSEA source followed by closed Accounts is a 2 card combo with only 2 copies of each card in the combo. On average you will see both at 22 cards into the deck, which means you will see the combo about every other game you play... which doesn't seem that great to me.
Scorched Earth is 4 influence, if you run 1 copy you have a low chance of even drawing it in a given game. If you run two copies you are at 8 influence. Snare! is 3 influence so at best you could have 2x Snare! and 2x Scorched Earth. You have an even lower chance of that paying off than you do for the combo above since you do not control the timing of Snare! The runner should know this and so this is not a realistic threat.
Snare! can randomly win games when the runner is reckless. You don't have net damage in the deck so that means the runner is playing out their hand and not drawing to refill. In my experience this is rare even when players are not being cautious.

Snare! is not the only defense for R&D and it isn't even the best defense out of Jinteki (who has Precog). Usually you use ICE to protect R&D.
If your opponent is at all savvy about deck construction and can count influence they will know that SEA Source is an empty threat. The runner knows that there is almost no chance of you having Scorched Earth in hand once they see some OOF ICE.
SEA Source + Closed Accounts, why would they spend all their money to prevent the off chance that you can spend all their money? The only reason I can see is so that you cannot trash a resource as well.
