It same with Magic. It is pretty much impossible to explain to new player why play cards that cost you life, even though they are one most powerful cards ever printed like Necro or Bob. They are concerned about life totals and did not understand card advantage. In netrunner we have card/credit advantage and Stimhack gives you 9 extra credits and you even did not waste action to play it, wow. True, most time you did not spend all credits and is pretty useless early game, but it is such powerhouse in late game, that 2 Stimhacks are auto-include for me. And I play in heavy meat damage metagame. But corp still need play 2 Scorched Earths to flatline you after first Stimhack and if you did not win after second, you are doing something wrong. Also how can corp trace you, when you have so much extra credits from Stimhacks.
