The controller has better stats than the abominations and acolytes. There are also SIN cards that give you a special action if you can cause a wound to a hero with the controller.

Was it 5 hours gameplay for the 4th scenario or for all 4 scenarios? Just wondering about total game time.

Sorry about the glitch. That sucks. Reminds me a little bit of how I was 120+ hours into final fantasy 3 when my PS3 bricked.

The final scenario is 4-6 hours long. It's a whodunnit like "A Cry for Help" in Call of the Wild, but on a much grander scale.

Kill the app and then launch it again, and click the Continue button. The App "auto saves" so relaunching might reset something in the app to make it clickable.

The old "have you tried turning it off and on again?" Come on, give me some credit. First thing I tried, no effect.

The sheer amount of labor involved in setting up first edition was the sole reason we didn't play it more often (and I ALWAYS had to be Keeper!).

I'm usually very quick to buy updates versions of my favorite games, but I hesitate on this one because I am quite attached to the original art. I am glad Asmodee is also issuing a smaller version with the classic art, even though that seems like an unusual move.

I do really like the new card backs though. It's too easy to mix up the character cards with the district cards in the original.

Cards have different effects if you ambush.

Of course a revealed vampire also matures. Why would it not?

A very good review with a good analysis of the pros and cons. It's a shame about the minis. I know FFG can do better but maybe they had to keep on making them the same way to match everything previously released in the Arkham line.

I like to read the encounter cards as I sleeve them. Just to get an idea of what to expect and enjoyment seeing all the new cards. But I forget 99% of them 5 seconds later haha. And then when I do finally play the quest (sometimes months after the fact), I'm effectively playing blind.

If you ambush then they don't get a chance to use Stake or Dogs prior to searching.

Nope, just the log to read text you missed. No way to take back a click.

I know this has probably been touched one but I don't see it. In the core box, are there any cardboard token of any characters that could be upgraded to the hero/villain packs to get actual figures. My OCD wont allow me to use a cardboard piece when I enjoy painting the minis.

Thanks in advance.

Yes, ANY character that has a cardboard token can.

I'm hoping FFG posts another article with some cards this week, but until then I've been straining my eyes trying to read the cards in this image. I have a pretty good idea of a couple of them. Feel free to contribute if you have better eyes than I do.

On the left is Agnes Baker 3/2/2/3 with 6 health 8 sanity
To the right of her ID card is an asset that looks like a skeleton key worn around her neck. It appears to read:
[Can't make out the name]
1[or 2] Resource Cost
1 Combat, 1 Willpower, 1 Wild
Agnes Baker decks only
[Ongoing] When you play a spell card, draw 1 card.

On the right is Skids O'Toole
Beneath him is:
Switchblade
1 Resouce Cost
1 Agility
Fast
[Action] Fight: If you succeed by 2 or fewer, this attack deals +1 damage.

I know that with an FFG LCG or "series" game (such as Eldritch Horror et al) the base game will be enough to decide whether I'm "in" or not, but that I won't have to invest too much if I decide that I'm not.

I feel like I invested plenty by buying base Mansions Of Madness 2E - thankfully I love it so far - but it did feel like taking a substantial risk..

Also immune to the orbital laser, along with various other effects that specify an Acolyte or Abomination.

My understanding is that a faith is considered a success for whatever you apply it to, so that would count. It would seem strange and not very fun if the faith symbol counted towards accomplishing a skill feat, but didn't count as a skill success.

Played it on a laptop plugged on a TV. I had the laptop, others saw the TV who stood behind me on the sideboard. They never really had to look at it, as the narrative part was done by me. Felt a little like GMing but without all the tedious preparation. It worked solo and it worked with a group. I read the flavour, put up the exploration-tokens, hit continue and so forth. Only time we switched places was during the riddles. I'm planning to use the app on my tablet and TV via Apple TV to be able to just hand the tablet to another player.

Nice. I wonder how well it will look using chromecast and the app.
